Our part of the world woke up this morning with the news that pope Benedict XVI has decided to resign. This is the first time in modern history that a pope has resigned and the first time in over 600 years. What the Pope’s resignation means…
As I write this post we don’t yet know who his successor is going to be… This doesn’t mean we can’t take a few moments to speculate on what the Pope’s resignation means in light of bible prophecy.
An post is much to restricted in space for me to highlight all the ways that the Catholic Papacy fits the biblical antichrist of the book of Revelation. We are currently working on a series entitled Antichrist: Will you be deceived that will go into this topic in detail. For now, let me say this.
I believe that the papacy is the first beast of Revelation 13. It causes the whole world to worship the dragon. Revelation 12:9 tells us that the dragon is Satan. So how can the Catholic Church be influencing people to worship Satan? By teaching numerous unbiblical and blasphemous teachings that contradict the Bible and make God look bad.
Whenever the world takes on the beliefs of the Catholic church in opposition to the Bible, they are guilty of worshiping Satan.
