Most people don’t look forward to the end of the world. Most people are afraid to think that the world is coming to an end. It is natural for us to be fearful. It is natural to be afraid of the unknown. If we look at the what the Bible has to say about the end of time it might not help to reassure us either. The Bible tells us that just before Jesus’ return things are going to get much worse before they get better. Human beings are naturally programmed to move away from pain and towards pleasurable things. Crazy talk like the end of the world often causes people to shut their ears and their minds to what is coming.
The end of the world is good news to Christians!
It is true that the end of the world isn’t good news for everyone. It really is only good news to the person who has a faith relationship with Jesus. Everyone else will be destroyed by the brightness of Jesus’ coming. “Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” – Revelation 6:15-17
For Christians though, the coming of Jesus is very good news. It means an end to suffering. An end to the power of death and sin. It represents a new existence. Perfect peace, joy and happiness. The end of our struggle against sin and the evil one, Satan.
So how do we speed up Jesus’ coming?
Matthew 24:14 gives us a clue… “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Jesus will come back when all of the world has heard the message of salvation. When all of the world has had a chance to choose salvation in Jesus Christ, Jesus will come back. The Bible tells us that God loves the world. ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16. He doesn’t want to see even one human lost. At the same time though, he gives every one of us freedom of choice. We can choose to accept his free gift of salvation or we can reject it. If we reject it, we choose to disconnect ourselves from the source of life, God. Just like when you unplug a television from the wall that was displaying a movie and it turns off and becomes lifeless, the same thing happens to us when we disconnect ourselves from the Creator. We choose to die.
Christians have a mission from God to tell all the world the good news that God loves them. They are to tell the whole world that if they will recognize that they are sinners and incapable of saving themselves and accept God’s free gift of eternal life, they will be saved. We at Thelastcrisis.tv are dedicated to doing our part towards speeding up the return of Jesus so that we can all go home and be with him forever. You too can join us… All you need to do is ask Jesus to come live in your heart. Confess to Him the fact that you are a sinner in need of salvation. Ask Him or forgiveness then determine by the Holy Spirit, who comes to live in you when you’ve accepted Jesus, to live your life according to His will as found in the Bible.
I am sick of the sin in this world. I’m sick of all the people who are being killed, raped or otherwise hurt in mean ways. I want to be with Jesus with all my heart. That’s why I want to do my part to speed up his coming… How about you?
